Excellent Book
The author provides a series of simple, powerful ideas that will be of great value to investors that are saving for retirement.

His writing style is easy to read, the concepts covered are easy to follow and apply, and best of all, he provides specific advice on the investment strategies that you need to follow to succeed in today's stock market.

Buy the book. It will be the best $20 you have spent in a long time.

Saved Me Money !
I've read many books on investing in the last few years. Most of the books I have read (Suze Orman, Charles Schwab, Johanthon Pond etc.) provided good information -but lacked specific actionable steps that I could use and apply right away.

Scott Magnacca's book is straightforward and gave me a lot of common sense- but not obvious- tips and ideas that I have been able to quickly use and apply to more effectively manage my portfolio and save money.

I highly reccomend it. If your planning for a "Successful Retirement" this should be required reading.

Well worth my time
Anyone who owns a mutual fund or who is saving for a successful retirement should read this book.

The book was an easy read and shared a variety of 'real world' examples and case studies on how to apply each of the 7 strategies.

Unlike most financial books, this book wasn't filled with numbers and formulas. Just good, practical and easy to use advice.

I especially enjoyed the chapters on "tax-efficient investing" and how to evaluate and pick a financial advisor.

Repeat Old Stuff Again and Again--No New Meat No New Insight
I don't think Covey wrote this workbook himself.

The writing style is not "Coveyist" at all.

This book has nothing new to say. 7 habits become old, boring habits, without new perspectives or insights to the readers.

It is time for Covey to really think Win/Win with his readers. Write more good books. Not just do too much out-sourcing or sub-contracting in writing.

Practice the Law of the Harvest that he always preaches. He will reap what he has sowed.

The Truth about the Seven Greatest Truths
In Marion Luna Brem's The Seven Greatest Truths About Successful Women, the reader is given an inside look into the struggles of women in the work force. Through the use of personal experience and anecdote of herself and other women, Brem is able to apply the gifts given to women to the real world. From her journey, the reader is able to understand the ways in which women must apply themselves in order to succeed. I thought the book was very well written and conveyed a very important message. It emphasized certain characteristics of women that not many people focus on. Even though many of the attributes mentioned are obvious, the book does a good job of explaining how to utilize them. The fact that Brem relies on her personal experience is also very touching. Overall, the book was a good read and gave good advice.

A must read
This book is designed for any women that wants to accomplish their goals in the business world. It is very informative and useful to all women. Ms. Brem has done a excellent job.

Honoring Your Gifts to Create Success
Marion Luna Brem shares openly, honestly and courageously by inspiring women from her own life lessons how to embrace your attributes of nurturing, resiliency, creative passion, intuition, self-value, and sensitivity to embark on your dreams fueled with passion and self-belief. Leadership and Balance are covered to help you understand that "leaders make changes happen" and personal balance, while taking time to rejuvenate are critical to avoid burn-out, and to lead your life with full stamina, endurance, and passion.

I found that passion is the key element in this book. Self-worth is critical to embrace your passion. I received this book as a gift, and it does make a great gift to any woman who wants to chart her own path in life, no matter what she has previously been through.

Sound Advice
I have had the opportunity to listen to Jim Rohn tapes and to read this book. It is one of the best books that I have ever read. He has a way to putting into words the ideas necessary for a sucessful life, both personally and financially. I will keep this book in my library and read it over and over again to fully grasp the reach of this book

EXCEPTIONAL !!!
THIS BOOK IS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE BUSINESS SELF-HELP BOOKS ON THE MARKET. READING OR LISTENING TO JIM ROHN IS ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENT A PERSON CAN MAKE TO GET AHEAD IN BUSINESS OR IN LIFE. A MUST HAVE!!

Simple strategies...that's its strength!
Jim Rohn is a master teacher and speaker. In this book, he gives seven strategies for success and happiness. These seven strategies are not original or new. For example, acquiring wisdom, setting and using goals, and personal development are not new concepts. However, Jim Rohn gives you SIMPLE and USEABLE ways to apply these concepts right away. Many people look for the "magic" solution on how to get rich or become happy or successful and what this books shows you is that the magic is in your discipline towards applying these concepts and improving your life.

Like all good teachers, he stresses that you have to apply your knowledge, not just absorb it passively. He also uses examples from his life and from people he has met. This is both motivational and instructive. A lot of it is common sense (another reviewer mentioned that this is nothing new). That's true! But that's why it's so powerful. Besides the quality of the content, it's pretty easy to read and not too long. I finished it in a weekend because I couldn't put it down!

I highly recommend this book as a fairly comprehensive instruction manual on how to improve your life and succeed in whatever endeavors you wish to take on

you can't have a dollar without a penny!
I have been a fan of Singletary's Washington Post column for years, and have heard her relay the wisdom of her grandmother Big Mama many times. Believe me, Big Mama knew what she was talking about and it is evident whenever you are faced with a financial planning issue when some nugget of her knowledge comes back to you!

The 7 Money Mantras are pithy and smart, and are delved into in each chapter. Singletary brings up her own experiences, making a point rather than pulling at heartstrings (although I did feel teary when she wrote about caring for her disabled brother.)

I read this book in a day -- yesterday! --- and I am already telling my shopaholic friends "If it's on your ass, then it's not an asset!" Go, Big Mama and Michelle!!! Keep telling it the way it is and the way we should see it!

Consistently wise and friendly advice
I've read Michelle Singletary's columns in The Washington Post for years -- sometimes for financial insights, but more often because she's got a great sense of human character and story-telling. She's funny and empathetic. She's also the voice of reason when "money issues" turn out to be about simmering tensions inside families, relationships, etc. (Believe me, this happens to rich people, poor people and all of us in between.) The ultimate test: her advice works!

"Seven Money Mantras" is written in that same spirit, while packing in a lot more detail and breadth. I loved her section about what to do when adult children want to come home after college and live with their parents for a while. It's nobody's first choice -- but it's a tragedy when people can't make it work somehow. She's been there, and she knows what to say about charging rent (do it) . . . cosigning on credit cards (don't!) . . . and setting a time limit (it's better for everyone.) She's got a lot more good, common-sense principles. As she puts them all together, she spells out a way to make these kinds of living situations work a lot better than people might have expected at first.

If you're looking purely for this month's stock tips, try Money magazine or Barron's instead. But if you want a lasting perspective on how to sort out bigger challenges that have a money component to them, this book delivers 100%. And if you've got a relative who wants to borrow money, lend them this book instead.

Delivers what the front cover promises
Ms. Singletary delivers what one of the titles promises: "How to Live Well with the Money You Have." This book is not about getting rich. It is about learning how to save more. She has many great ideas and instructions on how to spend less. I think her ideas will help many people reduce needless consumption.

Where should you invest your savings? The author's answer? She tells you how to carefully select some mutual funds. However, I should note that careful selection of mutual funds won't protect you from risks that are inherent in the stock market.

Finally A Plan for My Life Agenda!!
The 7 Laws of Highest Prosperity is the greatest book I've read this year! This book helped to get a clear focus on what God wants me to do. It is a refreshing story about how God desires all of us to be prosperous in every area of our lives. What better what to witness than through success! If you're looking for clear understanding of God's purpose for your life, then this is the book for you!

Down to Earth Help for the Hopeless & the Hopeful!
Cecil O. Kemp's "7 Laws of Highest Prosperity" has more practical spiritual guidance than Steven Covey's "Seven Habits of Highly Successful People", and is more readable than Spencer Johnson's "Who Moved My Cheese?". Following Sam's road from lowly beginnings to "highest prosperity" was for me both a pleasure and a beginning of my own journey to seek highest prosperity. When it comes to knowing how to live prosperously, Kemp hits the nail on the noggin! No false premise here.

A Modern Day Parable
This book reads like a modern-day parable; a story that draws one in and makes one look at oneself with new eyes. I felt like Kemp was writing about ME.
As I shared the book with friends, their reaction was much the same.
I have highly recommend 7 Laws of Highest Prosperity to my church members.
