-Full credit to the AuthorA perfect primer on the the credit card business, this book is well structured and provides a good amount of insight into every activity of the business. From the origin of this idea to the creation of Visa & Master and then to the operational aspects of the industry, each aspect has been covered in good detail. In a scenario where very little information is available in a concise manner, this book is a godsend for entry level professionals, though not the bible.

read the small print and pay attentionI learned to read all the small print and to pay close attention, this means in all service aggreements, credit applications, and contracts. The glossary in this book gives the consumer a heads up on the terms used by vendors and lenders. Watch those percentage points. The first section, Closing the Gap offers insights into weighing your needs against your wants and knowing what you need and howto evaluate some of the services you don't use but pay big bucks for. The Authors aren't preachy. You won't find advice for dummies or idiots here, but then this book is written to provide consumer information as well as personal finace ideas
Don't put groceries and gas on your credit cardThis is a no brainer, and the woman featured on a Dateline segment might be singing a different tune if she had read The ABCs of Credit. Another comment in this segment was about too much information and changing terms in the small print of a credit card agreement. The smaller the payment the more interest you pay and you are recyling your debt every month. The example on this segment aired by my local weekend show in Clevelnad is a $4,000 debt will be a $10,000 debt taking years to pay off. I don't don't where the presenter got her information but everything she mentioned is in this book with better examples and ideas for solutions to high interest debt. The book also covers many consumer problems we deal with on a day to day basis. Not enough time to read the small print is the story of my life, you need to learn to read every word in contracts and applications to keep more of your hard earned cash instead of paving the gold brick road of creditors.
Excellent resource.Excellent information for people of all ages. Very easy to read and understand with helpful examples in a variety of credit situations. I would especially recommend this book to high school students and new college freshmen where bad credit starts all too often.

100% Internet Credit Card Fraud Protected53 Pages... Go figure. I received a one page mailer from the publisher on this book referring me to Amazon and [another online site]. The mailer is printed in simple black and white text spead across the one page mailer. There is a 112 word description of the contents. I have not read it nor do I intend to. Credit card fraud? What about publishing fraud? [item price] for a 53 page book!
Clear and simple - just what I neededI am a young entrepreneur. I took an introductory business risk management class to better understand the environment, and to avoid or at least minimize possible business problems. I found this book very helpful. The language is simple & clear enough to understand as I didn't have any anti-fraud background. I will definitely keep this as reference. I recommend this book for anybody selling on internet.
Will work for mostThis book answers the question, "What is the best way to protect from credit card fraud online?" The author found how swindlers penetrate different anti-fraud systems, both manual and automatic. Then he collected, filtered and studied tons of data on these "penetration methods" and determined the best way to protect from them. While the book is based on very in-depth research, it does not read like a research report. The author has done an excellent job at bridging the gap between first rate research and a mass market audience.
Strengths: The author's writing is very interesting and easy to read. The book is a quick read and many readers will finish it within a weekend. While based on lots of research, the book does not read like a boring textbook. The author's conclusions are delivered simply and concisely.
Weaknesses: Minor but: It may be hard for novice online sellers to fully understand this book.
Who should read this book: All managers, executives, and leaders of any type of organization that accept credit cards online, as well as those others interested in credit card fraud.
Also consider: Nothing. This is the only helpful book on this topic.
