This is a pre dot-bomb era title
This book was written in and about the time before the dot-com's collapsed. I was hoping to get some real advice on running an internet enabled group, and was very dissapointed to find that this book is basically a day in the life of a work-a-holic .com CEO before his bubble burst.

This is not a book I could suggest is worth your time or money if you are looking to get real ideas and lesson learned for use in your own business or job. Some pre dot-bomb books have lasted the test of time in the couple years since...this one has not. "The Customer Revolution" is a good example of a pre dot-bomb tech/business book that is still worth reading or listening to. Go look at that, or the many other still relevent books. Move along...nothing to see here folks.

Great Fast Read
I really enjoyed this book. I have a ton of business books, but most of them are high level. They focus on theoretical or strategic issues around operating like an Internet company. "The 10-Second Internet Manager" is a much faster reader and has some great tips that I was able to apply immediately in saving time and getting better results. I think e-mail and meetings are the biggest time sinks of my current company life and this book offers specific tips I can share with others in my department. I also like the fact that they have a Web site, www.10secondmanager.com, that I can check out for more tips.

A very fast read and well worth the investment of time and money...

Cheek
I never write reviews, but Ms Briles' sheer cheek has made me want to.

The book itself is, well, mildly OK, simply not well enough written to really capture anyone's attention. The explanations about different financial products seem to have been written in a bit of a hurry and not revised. Unless you have a basic financial education, you won't understand much, and if you do, then you won't learn anything new. You'd be much better off reading something by David Bach.

The sheer cheek of the author is the way she logs on to Amazon to review her own book with five stars - twice. I suppose she was worried by the fact that nobody else had posted a review. Well, now I have.

2001 Colorado Book Award Winner!
10 Smart Money Moves for Women won the Colorado Book Award--this book is a perfect gift for the Holidays, for graduations and just getting money smart! From the author, Judith Briles

Terrific Money Book for all Women
This book is written for women of all ages and money places. It covers everything from get beyond whatever fears topple you to learn how to invest in common sense areas. I learned lots and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be financial self-reliant.

A Good Read!
Dave Kahle adapts many now common time management processes for the specific use of salespeople in the field. His underlying assumption is that it is much more difficult for outside salespeople to apply the usual techniques, since their lives are so filled with uncertainty. Plus salespeople tend to be action-oriented, so they don't commonly want to spend time planning or setting up systems. But, Kahle argues, such organization is critical to success in sales. While Kahle claims that most time management principles and tactics "totally miss the unique challenges of the field salesperson," the material he covers in the book sounds very familiar. It echoes many other books about goal setting, problem solving, decision making and effective selling. We from getAbstract find that while this may be a helpful review of fairly common material in the guise of time management, the information is hardly unique - although its focus on salespeople's needs may give it additional value for them.

Short and Sweet
Dave Kahle gives a lot of useful information in a short easy-to- read format. I just started a sales job in a new industry and it was a great refresher course in setting priorities.
