Logical and practical
If you can't get advice from this book - you are not trying! An easy to read guide to marketing - logicial, practical - a common sense guide which can be applied to any business, anywhere. THis book, along with Andrew's other guides to business are written to genuinely help you - not to dewilder you. You never feel as though you are being spoken down to - rather you feel as though these steps are so easy, logical and cost effective they have to work. Highly recommended and congratulations Andrew.

"101 Ways to Market Your Business" by Andrew Griffiths is a sensational tool for any small business owner. It's simple to read and the ideas are easy to implement and best of all, don't cost a great deal of money. As a marketing manager for a shopping centre, we find business owners often need inspiration - and something that will help get them back on track. We buy this book in bulk and hand it out to those who need it - and it's great to see them implement the ideas and to see their businesses ultimately improve.

Best Book In My Collection
I have to agree whole-heartedly with others who have given top recommendations for this book. It was recommended to me while I was at a training seminar and has fast become the most used book on my shelf. It really has something for every occaision.

One of the very best things about the book is that it is more than just a collection of trainer games (not that there is anything wrong with those books), but it has a million tips and ideas that can be added to any training. I think this is a must have for any trainer.

MEANINGFUL activities
This is the best collection of meaningful activities I've come across. All the activities are designed to achieve a purpose and are right on target. The pages are designed so that you can easily follow and understand the activities that are grouped into application area or need.

The book covers active training techniques for team building, stimulating discussion, on-the-spot assessments, stimulating discussions, prompting questions, and reviewing strategies. There are quite a few more, as well a section in the beginning with 'tips' for the trainer, like learning names, timesavers, role-playing, setting-up the training room, etc.

You will hardly ever conduct a training that will not benefit from a quick peek into this book and the ideas and suggestions included.

A Master reference
This book is a fantastic resource for all trainers and no training bookshelf should be without it. The activities are targeted, relevant to the subject matter and guranteed to produce the desired results. You will not find any 'wishy-washy' activities and games here nor will you catch yourself yawning as you turn the pages. It's quite the opposite in fact; this book is so well written and well presented, that you just might find yourself going through all the 101 activities! And while you're at it, why don't you check 'Active Training' by Mel Silberman as well - it's a gem of a book...

Don't hesitate, this is one purchase you will never regret.

101 ways to loose money
This book jumped around from mostly different careers, such as: making bird houses(start up costs $1000-2000), sewing quilts (start up $1-500), specialty dress maker (start up $500), chimney sweep (start up $1000), computer tutoring (start up $1500-2500),technical writing (start up $1000-2500), telephone answering service (start up $1500-3000), developmental editing (start up $1500-2500), and computer programming ($2500-6000). All of these ideas and most of the others in the book, seem to be more like careers and not ways to earn extra cash from the garage of your home. All of these take education or practical experience and know how and most require a substantial start up cost. I do not recommend buying this book, but instead looking in the want ads of your local newspaper for something in which you are qualified.

This is an excellent "you-can-do-it" kind of motivator.
I had no idea there were so many ways one could successfully work from home, and do it profitably. Gwen gives such good, practical and specific advice--not just pie in the sky. Thanks for writing "101 Ways..." Gwen! MH of California

disappointed - not the bob bly quality of old
bob bly has written a lot of great books. this is not one of them. i have bought and read most of his books. this one is not up to bob's usual quality.

i have learned a lot of useful things from his other books, but not this one. the little content that had potential did not tell me how to actually use his advice. much of it was unusable by normal people and almost seemed like padding to a magazine article to stretch it to a book.

this book stated the obvious things to do but did not tell how to do them. any time management 101 book would tell more than this book.

some of his advice is similar to the simple-minded simplicity books that would have you using the same towel all week to save laundry. obviously bobs stuff works for bob but we are not bob -- we are us and he should tell us stuff that works for us.

bob works hard and is very successful. but i do NOT want to work hard -- i want to work smart. i just want to know how to get the most out of the time i do work because i plan to have some BALANCE to my life and some fun too not just use every minute to make money.

if bob had just explained all of his lists and how he uses them then the book might have been worthwhile. as it is, it seemed like he ground out another book to make money. the quality of the content was just not up to his earlier books.

if you want to use your time more efficiently then read get control of your time and your life by alan lakein.

bob has some 5star books this one is barely one star.

Highly Recommended!
Robert W. Bly's helpful, amusing and slim volume is jam-packed with wisdom and plenty of tips to help you organize, manage your time better, cure procrastination and increase your productivity. While some of his advice is plain old common-sense information that you've probably already heard, it may well bear repeating. Just one look around your office may show you how many people have heard some of this counsel before but are still hopelessly disorganized time wasters. Bly includes pertinent data from surveys of leaders and working stiffs who feel overwhelmed by information, too many demands on their time and the constant struggle to fit 25 hours of work and real life into a 24-hour day. He also sprinkles witty and instructive quotes throughout the book, which we at getAbstract.com recommend to anyone who'd like to have a little extra time left over (and that's everyone).
