I've used this book a million times! My copy is dogged-eared and I'm just about ready to buy another copy.

David takes some very complicated financial and accounting concepts and puts it into layman's terms. You can learn and understand the relationships between the various financial statement and it demystifies what accountants and bankers look for. An absolute staple for any business owner! I *require* my clients to buy a copy and USE it.

A thoroughly scholarly work which deftly presents its in-depth study in largely jargon-free and accessible terms ideal for the non-specialist general reader, The Business Of Media offers insights and a close scrutiny into what really goes on behind newspaper and broadcast journalism headlines.

Roger Bean and Russell Radford examine the history of innovation for ways that your organization can innovate continually. They ask why companies successfully innovate for a while and then lose steam. Their answer is a new organization-wide system that prioritizes innovation, management and strategy. This fairly academic structure - more like a proposal than a working process - encourages building systemic promotion of continual innovation by creating an environment that values, nurtures and encourages it, cascading from the executive to the managerial to the operational team level. However, toward the end of the book, the authors refer to using a Balanced Scorecard for assessing performance from a total quality perspective. That approach bypasses the inspirational, charismatic form of innovation and cuts right to the process, like an accountant or an engineer's model of innovation. Thus, if you are process-savvy but hesitant about new ideas, we from getAbstract suggest that this might just be the innovation book for you: lots of system, not much flash.

I found the book to be good, though a little terse. It instructs the user well on how to create a good business plan, but only provides a single example. Generally I thought the book to be pretty good, but at only 40 pages the price is really stiff. The book's worth 14.99.

I've been looking for this book a long time. Here I found the final details to finish my BP. Very intuitive.

This book is geared towards people in the legal profession. Most of the info contained in the first 3 chapters a business person would not need to know; or if they did they, would probably have a corporate attorney that could tell them. The book does a very poor job at explaining some of the financial examples. I have an MBA, and I still got lost at times! This book should be considered 2 books in one volume (first 3 chapters for the legal profession, last 2 chapters for the business world).
