Title Should Be CRM Infrastructure
This book is more technological in nature than CRM strategy. It does give information regarding CRM as a business strategy; however, the core of the book is technology. If you are going to implement CRM at your organization, this book is a must read in conjunction with a book on CRM strategy. A lot of organizations try to implement CRM without having the infrastructure in place that will allow them to fully benefit from CRM. This book clearly defines how the systems infrastructure must be part of the CRM strategy and how they should be implemented together. It very thoroughly explains the use of data warehousing and systems design. The only downside to this book is the duplication of information. It could easily have been 100 pages shorter.

Excellent Book on Winning CRM Strategies
This is an excellent book that is very well written. It takes the complexity out of CRM and provides winning strategies to put an effective CRM program in place.

It provides a road map on how to design and build a world class CRM solution. And it recognizes that not all companies will build a large system up front, rather taking a step by step approach. Of particular interest was the section on implementing a CRM solution in 100 days. The approach and related disciplines is what matters most and it overviews these nicely.

The chapter that provides numerous examples of customer experiences is also very useful.

The author does an excellent job of pointing out that CRM is much more than customer acquisition and retention. He drives home the point that it is really about developing and managing a relationship.

Accelerating Customer Relationships is what it's all about
This book is an indispensable read and reference for the business manager or technology manager that is teamed together. The author has brought together data and information from a very wide variety of sources - and added to it a substantial treasure trove of case studies. It is very real world. The sample project plan and methodology can be applied in many environments.
The case studies and biblography alone are well worth the acquisition price. The author also leaves many pointers to accessing more technical or in-depth materials throughout the book. Its use could save many firms (and teams) a lot of agony. It is truly about accelerating customer relationships - something every business person must be concerned with.

Abolishing Christianity: And Other Short Pieces

Biting satire
Perhaps the most famous work included is "An argument against abolishing Christianity", in which he points out the "Inconveniences" of abolishing Christianity. Why even "The Bank of East India Stock my fall at least one per cent". As a clergy, Swift wants to skewer the Enlightenment deism project of a rational religion.

Some of the other essays are more humorous, such as "A meditation upon a broomstick", and who can imagine the proposal of admiring gloves for ladies (made of baby's skin), being published today! The tale of the spider and the bee in the battle of the books, reminded me of Francis Bacon's earlier story of the spider, the ant, and the bee in the Novum Organum. Well I'd better stop now, to quote Swift "Some people take more care to hide their wisdom than their folly".

Quite Tacky Actually
The premise is great but this is rushed and it feels it. The good points: titles like un- UN Inspected (Tony Hillier) are cute but the poem following is just tunnelled rambling. 'The Field' by George Murray is actually well written and touching. Maureen Gallagher's 'Off The Record' is cheesy. 'Designer despair' is evident throughout this collection and that's unfortunate.

One wonders was any time taken by most of the poets to creatively think. Most of the material is so basic that you'd basically find it in editorials in most run of the mill newspapers. That's the quality of the writing except in journalism, they're framed properly.

Most of the poems here patter away without any impact. Some poems just don't even try. Look at 'Dubya Anabasis'- just ramblings ('What we know now post Word War III is that he was installed into power after a disputed election in which he lost the popular vote but won the electoral vote') that you'd overhear anywhere anytime. Nothing remotely special or thought provoking here.

Some poems try to be delicate but just strip themselves of words to as to try to personify a light waif picking across twig covered ground. Look at 'A Verse To War' ('I am afraid of what will happen of the rhetoric of the silence of not knowing. I am afraid I don't know what to contribute').

Too much drivel, I'm afraid. Good sentiments but non-delivery of poetry.

Too Thin
The collection has too much spread across too much making it very thin in poetry content. I won't name individual poems as it's all in such good spirit but lines like 'The general his voice calm, his poise almost jovial answers questions shuffling papers he rarely glances at' sum up this collection. There are too many people jumping ahead of themselves trying to find something war-like to talk write about but then forgetting that this is a poetry collection. But maybe it's not. Maybe it's just '100 Poets Against War'

One of 100 or so
Dear Folks,
I am one of the poets in the book. I was one of the original 100 for the online version. I have been there from the beginning with Todd. I have toured with Todd as part of the Short Fuse tour in UK. Todd is relentless and spirited. He makes no bones about his life, poetry and politics. He chose poets that are "proLIFE" that is desire peace over the bounty of war but will stand up to protect what is right. This is different than simply being against war. It is about being for PEACE and creating that where one goes with words, gestures and one's own example. It is an important differentiation... witness Natalie Handal's poem EVEN one of the best poems I have ever read. Let us move to Even. .. this is a book that can change the world for the better. If a review can influence you to make a purchase than get this book!
